Through long journeys Gaspare Da Brescia has a great peace with himself which brought awareness of what he is as a man and as an artist. His constant trips to Jerusalem did all this. Today he lives and works in the north of Sardinia, in full Neolithic times, sleeping in a house immersed in the woods. He left Rome, all the breadth of the Baroque, he concentrated on manual work entrusting the intellectual part, thus the great works are born, metal, copper, sculptures. The age of fire is born, the mutation. A change of course takes place, again and again … learning to fail better. Fire leads him to Naples, where he melts his metals. Naples inevitably brings him home, to Crotone, in Ancient Kroton. A new beginning to bring the millennial history of kroton and its people back into art, into the Pythagorean mystery and its geometries.
